How did you become a professional hair and makeup artist and what do you love most about your job?
Let me put it like this – it was my passion for fashion, that prepared the ground for a career as a hair and makeup artist. I have always been fascinated by fashion magazines and well staged fashion photographies. After my training as a hair stylist I travelled the US for a while. When I returned to Germany I decided to become a hair and make up artist. I assisted some true masters of this profession in Hamburg and Munich and learned a lot about makeup, hair, and the interaction between light and shadow. A few years ago I discovered Agentur Phoenix and I am very happy to work with them.

What is your secret weapon on set?
I work with two blue latex brushes to create the perfect foundation.

Which daily beauty routine would you recommend?
Simple and effective: take cold showers and drink a lot of hot water.

What do you consider the best moment of your career so far or what achievement are you especially proud of?
There are a lot of great moments, each  job means a new challenge and a lot of great moments, which provides new energy and inspiration for my profession as hair and makeup artist.

Where do you get your inspiration for new beauty looks from?
I walk through the world with open eyes and this way the most beautiful inspirations suddenly occur on the most random places and occasions – on the street, on billboards, in shop windows, in magazines, or when I meet new people.

How do you like to relax and regenerate in your free time?
I love to visit mountain spas, surrounded by nature and silence. However, I also enjoy a hot summer day with friends in the English Garden in Munich, where we cool off by jumping into the famous Eisbach river.
