How did you become a professional hair and makeup artist and what do you love most about your job?
After my professional training as a hair stylist at Jaques Dessange in Munich the opportunity came up to work at my first runway show for ESCADA. This openend up a whole new world of creativeness and opportunities to me. Since I have always been interested in makeup, I hence decided to get trained by Horst Kirchberger. After that I went to New York to work with Francois NARS´team. With his creative direction me and the rest of his team worked at NY Fashion Week, Paris Haute Couture and Milan Fashion week. This experience showed me how much I love to work in a team to create something great!
What is your favorite beauty tool on set ?
An absolute game changer and my favorite beauty tool on set is the Dyson hair dryer. Can´t work or live without it!
What does your daily beauty routine look like? Is there any beauty product or makeup routine you can’t live without?
I like to keep it simple but effective! It´s most important to properly clean and moisturize. The products you use should be adapted to your current lifestyle, surroundings and the time of the year.
In the morning I use sisley´s gentle foaming cleanser and at the end of the day I prefer EVE LOM Cleanser Creme
What do you consider the best moment of your career so far?
I consider the times I worked in New York and Los Angeles as the most exciting times in my career.
Of course it was a big career booster to work with celebrities like George Michael, Grace Jones and Beyoncé. Meeting Nelson Mandela was definitely one of the most memorable moments. We met at a charity show hosted by Naomi Campbell and Donatella Versace.
Where do you get your inspiration for new beauty looks from?
Inspiration can be found everywhere, and keep in mind it doesnt always have to be things that are particularly easy on the eye in the first place. I get inspired by art as well as the little things in our daily lives. Always pay attention to detail and keep your eyes open!
How do you like to relax in your free time , maybe any great spa tipps?
My home is my castle! I just love to relax in my own bathtub after a long day of work!
