How did you become a professional hair and makeup artist and what do you love most about your job?
I was born in Tel Aviv and came to Munich at the tender age of 3. In 1999, I moved from Munich to Costa Rica and built a vacation resort together with some good friends. After seven years of Costa Rican jungle and a life in surfers´ paradise I decided to move back to Germany and switched careers from tourism to beauty right away. I acquired a spot at the internationally reknowned Rosemarie Schneider school to get trained in hair and makeup and later got to know my favorite agents, Phoenix Agentur, who represent me now.

What I love about my profession is the very broad creative spectrum, the diversity – one day I am on the set of a fashion shoot, the next day on the set of a film. I get to try new stuff all the time. I meet kind, sweet, interesting, bizarre, entertaining, melancholic, smart, extravagant, but above all inspiring people in front of and behind the camera.

What is your favorite beauty tool on set?
I love the Living Luminizer highlighter from RMS Beauty. It magically creates the most beautiful natural highlights and is made of ingriedients like coconut oil and beeswax. Magic Concealer from Helena Rubinstein is the best concealer in my opinion, as it covers all skin irritations and has a very supple consistency.

What does your daily beauty routine look like, is there any beauty product you can’t live without?
I am a very natural type. The dry oil Huile Prodigieuse by Nuxe is my allrounder for face and body. It even works perfectly as a hair mask! At the moment I am also really into the new scent from Sisley, IZIA, as I think a good perfume is a must for every day.

What do you consider the best moment of your career so far or what achievement are you especially proud of?
I really enjoy my profession and how it offers new surprises every day. It’s challenging but always interesting. I am most happy when my models get that special twinkle in their eyes. Then I know, I nailed it! One especially remarkable experience was working with the the German national soccer team for GQ magazine, photographed by Daniel Jackson just before the World Cup. What an atmosphere!

Where do you get your inspiration for new beauty looks from?
I find inspiration everywhere. On the street, in galleries, the theater and fashion magazines, blogs or video tutorials. The greatest inspiration, of course, is the face of my model. To delve into their character and work out their best aspects or perhaps even to bring to light new great aspects of their beauty is really rewarding.

How do you like to relax in your free time , maybe any great spa tipps?
I just love to hang out with my family. I like to dance or read, too. Every once in a while we (me and my family) go on an adventure, like traveling and discovering new things in new places. That makes me happy!
